Support for Children

Kids Path was founded in Greensboro, North Carolina by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro as a model of care for seriously ill and grieving children. Children need a different approach for care and support, and HPCG’s Kids Path program addresses these needs. Kids Path is now offered by hospices in North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia and Louisiana.

Kids Path addresses the unique needs of seriously ill children from birth to age 18 and offers assistance to family members and significant others who are providing care. The primary goal of care is to assist the child to live as normally as possible. And through its grief program, Kids Path offers one-on-one counseling, support groups, workshops, camps and even the Aarvy Aardvark puppet show.
