Sarah Turner, RN, BSN, CHPPN, has received her Certified Hospice and Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN) certification from the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses (NBCHPN).  Turner is one of eight nurses that hold this certification in North Carolina, while only 114 individuals hold the certification nationwide.

Turner has served as a home health and hospice nurse for Kids Path since 2007. The program was founded by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) as a model of care for seriously ill and grieving children. Kids Path is offered by hospices in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia.

Prior to joining HPCG, Turner was employed as a staff nurse with Wesley Long Hospital where she worked with newborns in the obstetrics and gynecology department. Additionally, Turner served as a staff nurse at Greensboro Pediatricians where she enjoyed her work with children. Turner received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a licensed registered nurse.

HPCG, a nonprofit organization serving Greater Greensboro for more than 30 years, is situated on an eight-acre campus at 2500 Summit Avenue. HPCG provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for children and adults faced with a life-limiting illness, as well as their caregivers and families.
