Your Journey Through Grief

Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be a very difficult experience, emotionally and physically. You may be feeling overwhelmed with the thought of moving on. Bereavement counseling and support groups are both very helpful ways to understand your feelings and emotions.

Talking about your loss with a friend is always helpful, but sometimes you need more than just a friend to talk to. Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro’s (HPCG) Counseling and Education Center (CEC) offers 13 months of bereavement counseling to the caregiver and family members of the deceased. As the caregiver, you may be feeling helpless because you no longer have your loved one to care for. The CEC is here to support you through your journey of healing.

While bereavement counseling can be very healing, support groups can help you discover others who have experienced a loss similar to yours. The CEC offers many different support groups for many different types of losses.  Support groups can help you talk openly with others about your loss and understand you are not alone on this journey.

To schedule an appointment for bereavement counseling or to sign up for a support group, call the CEC at 336.621.5565.
