Corks for Kids Path Doubles Revenue in 2011

Greensboro, NC——Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) is proud to announce Corks for Kids Path, held February 25, 2011, netted over $60,000 to support Kids Path services. Five- hundred-fifty (550) people attended the wine-tasting event to double the amount raised in last year’s 2010 event. Paul Russ, Vice-President of Marketing and Development for HPCG, said, “The Kids Path dollars raised this year brings our four-year event total to over $160,000. HPCG is most thankful for the amazing support Corks for Kids Path receives from our Greensboro community.”

Under the leadership of event chair Misty McCall and her vice-chair Matt Logan, 63 individuals became Host Sponsors for the event. In addition, 44 HPCG volunteers provided 207.5 hours of service to help staff Corks for Kids Path; 95 donors provided items for our silent auction; and 42 sponsors added over $50,000 towards the event’s financial success. “Everyone involved with Corks for Kids Path should take pride in knowing their support provides comfort and direct care to hundreds of local children and families,” said Russ.

Corks for Kids Path, created by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) in 2008, raises vital support for medically fragile children and grieving children.
