TLC Consult Services

Offered by Counseling and Education Center (CEC)

HPCG offers individual consults through our CEC professionals to any adult with a chronic or serious illness, when a sudden change in health, makes it difficult to live life as usual. We offer information and support to adults, and their caregivers, to assist in making difficult choices, and maintaining quality of life. These geriatric care management services are offered on a professional fee-for-service basis.

TLC Consult Service provides:

• Community resource information and referrals for the Greater Greensboro area;
• Professional counseling about aging and coping with the emotional impact of change, loss and grief;
• Education about medical care and choices;
• Planned discussions about advanced directives, i.e. living wills, health care power of designations;
• Family conflict resolution over life choices and decisions;
• Planning to ensure full quality of life in the future.
